Hello again

Another pine about to bite the dust
Well we are pleased to report that the 'modern technology' is fixed and so normal service, thankfully, is being resumed ! You don't realise just how much you rely on the stuff until it doesn't want to play!!!
So, we are busy working through the jobs that are needed to keep everything 'Trainshape', and we have been really lucky with the weather, not too many frosts and virtually no snow, just wet now and again. Lots of trees have been felled as the clearing and trimming work continues.

One way to keep warm on a cold Winter's day !
The new Tool Van is nearly done and has been moved into the Running Shed ready to give it a test around the track to see how the bogies perform.

The signals are all being checked and posts repaired and repainted as necessary. The track gang have not stopped work all winter, replacing rotten sleepers and re-ballasting to ensure the track is in tip top condition. The platform water tank is well underway and we are ready to start cladding the tank sides with timber planks. The carriage shed roof is now ready for a good 'power wash' now that the overhanging trees are gone, then we can see about some more filtering to ensure we have clean, well nearly clean, water for our (and our visitor's tenders!)
At the weekend we are taking our display stand to the East Dereham Model Railway exhibition, where we we look forward to meeting old friends and some new ones should be a good day!  Think that brings us just about up to date.
