Moving on

Roger poses with Lucille and The Gang on Saturday 5th April

Hello......bit of a sad day yesterday as Roger, one of our members, and his wife Frances, are moving away to be close to Roger's daughter, so he came along yesterday to say cheerio. Roger spent many 'happy' hours grovelling about under, on, or in our steam locos during is time with us, putting to good use his knowledge of slightly larger locos that he once worked on in South Africa!, but recently has not been able to participate due to health problems, hence the move. So his final visit (well hopefully not) to the ALR was commemorated with this Group photo that he wanted to remind him of the good times he spent with us.
We wish Roger and Frances well in their new surroundings.

The pit cover frame takes shape on Wednesday 2nd April

Meanwhile on the work front, Lucille had a good jolly round and was declared to be in fine working order, progress is being made with Hotspur whose new boiler now sits on its chassis, further track tweaking continues, and the new pit cover structure is coming along nicely, and the sun was shining again!

and 'ello, 'ello, ello, wot is going on 'ere then ?????

ah, tis only Boys and Toys time !!!!! boats last week !!!! whatever next ???!!!!
