There is a fascination about trains that seems to appeal and provide pleasure to so many people, and our members are no different, for most of us are interested not only in our 71/4" gauge creations and the 'big' railways, but in model railways too. Several of us were members of the sadly, now defunct Coltishall Model Railway Club, but happily another Club has come into being as a result of that Club's demise, the Broadland Model Railway Club. This Club is based at Ashmanhaugh and is currently involved in developing their 4mm British outline layout (which was taken to the Aylsham Model Railway Exhibition last year). It also has an interesting '009' layout, 'Corru' which is due to appear, along with another of our member's own layouts, 'Lower Woodend', (both also seen at previous exhibitions) at the Norfolk Railway Society's Annual Show which is to be held next Saturday 31st January at the United Reform Church Ipswich Road, Norwich, from 1 til 5 pm. Should be worth a visit?
